Inside the station and I'Park Mall

If you are using I'Park Mall, which connects directly to the station, the closest option is the smoking spot on the 4th–5th floors of the Dal parking garage. It is in an open area of the parking garage, not indoors. Smoking is completely banned inside I'Park Mall and the station concourse, so you need to go to the parking floors before smoking.

On the plaza and the street

Yongsan Station Plaza has a smoking spot designated by ordinance, but most of the plaza is a non-smoking zone subject to enforcement. Use only the designated area with signs. If you are heading out toward Sinyongsan, there are designated spots on the sidewalks near the Sinyongsan Underpass and near Yongsan Electronics Market Public Parking Lot 1 in Hangang-ro 3-ga; toward Namyeong Station, you can use the pavilion-style smoking space outside the 1st floor of the Namyoung Vivien building.

Toward the Yongsan Electronics Market and Dragon City

On the electronics market side, the designated spot outside the 1st floor of Seonin Arcade Building 21 and the designated spot on the sidewalk near Yongsan Electronics Market Public Parking Lot 1 (Hangang-ro 3-ga) are close. Office buildings such as Amorepacific and the Hyundai Motor building also have registered areas, but they are run mainly for their employees. Yongsan-gu has a relatively large number of registered areas, 71 in total.

If you are heading to Seoul Station

Seoul Station, one stop from Yongsan Station, has 6 designated areas by exit (Exits 1, 3, 8 and 11, the 2nd-floor plaza, and Pungnim I-One Plus (풍림 아이원플러스)). If you are transferring at Seoul Station or changing KTX trains, check the locations in advance in the Seoul Station guide, which includes on-site photos.
